WEST ORANGE, NJ (January 30, 2017) - Kick-off the new year with the West Orange Arts Council’s first show of 2017, the JSDD WAE Center's "I Did It My WAE" Exhibit. An opening reception will take place on Wednesday, February 1st from 5-7pm at the West Orange Arts Center, 551 Valley Road, West Orange, New Jersey. The exhibit remains up through February 28, and the majority of the artwork is available for sale.
On display is the work of over 20 individual artists, working out of the WAE Center Art Studio in West Orange, New Jersey. Each artist represented uses his/her own vision to create an artistic reflection for this unique show. The West Orange Arts Center exhibit focuses on a range of two-dimensional artwork encompassing drawing, painting, photography and digital art.
JSDD's WAE (Wellness, Art & Enrichment) Center is a nonprofit organization and alternative learning center helping members find the spark within. It provides an environment for where they learn, create, express themselves, and develop meaningful relationships. Come and receive a prompt to create simple art. Participants will open curated packages and follow the instructions inside to create art or a story. You will learn how to use simple activities to make meaningful connections with others and the world around you. This workshop includes all materials and is for folks that love community and art.
